"Concept - The tone and sarcastic approach really clicked here, using the same quips and "just a joke" banter that toxic men use online were weaved with wit in the copy and artworks

Artwork - Amazing, all of the visuals here boils down each sub-topic's content to its essence, bravo!

Composition - Less is more. Each sub-topic had something to say and kept it brief and concise, resulting to more space for creative expression which shined a lot here. The content was broken down to easy to read chunks with proper line breaks, and accompanied with creative graphics. It had a vision in mind and kept its artistic composure from start to finish.

Goal - Highly relevant topic and crisp composition, you all nailed this one, GG."

"Galing! Super nice illustrations & layouting. Everything is very cohesive & looks so well put together. +1 for satire & jokes because of that it's super easy & light to read :)"

"Looks absolutely professionally made! I can't believe students made this. Gorgeous type hierrachy and the layout was quite tasty. Really nice cohesion and good story flow. Great writting and thought process. Wow, was incredibly floored by this one!"

"Concept - I appreciate the multi-faceted approach and how it covers multiple women who were subjected to different degrees of inequality

Artwork - The patchwork/collage style was done well, can still use a bit of polish (some images are low-res)

Composition - Good composition overall, still needs some work on the typesetting (rags, widows, orphans). Just the right balance of copy and visuals, though I think the header graphic can be improved to match the rest of the artworks' style. Goal - It feels really close to a newsletter, good choice of narrative topic, the visuals has the right amount of goofyness without disrupting the literature tone."

Ian Abella (Art Director - Globe Studios)

"The design & layout looks very serious & strong! The articles are segmented properly so the flow is pretty smooth."

Selina Woo Bhang (Graphic Designer - Plus63 Design Co.)

"Great consistency! Everything felt whole from the cover to the end. I think everyone did a great job with researching their respected topics. Not necessarily a big fan of the drop shadows since if the look is more vintage/serious, would have been better to do away with it!"

"Concept - Amazing direction and flow, I highly appreciate that the copy and artwork both "dissect" the topic chosen through literature and art

Artwork - Superb art style that compliments the content, it's playful without holding any punches

Composition - My only suggestions here are to choose a heavier font weight to improve legibility, review the do's and don'ts of typesetting (rags, widows, orphans), and adjust the leading to let the copy breathe. Aside from that it's really good.

Goal - Topic works really well for the task given, and the art direction gave it a lot of character."

Ian Abella (Art Director - Globe Studios)

Eye-catching front page. Maybe make the whole thing segmented since it feels like 1 breath to read everything. Nice illustrations but I wish there were more photos to accompany the articles"

Selina Woo Bhang (Graphic Designer - Plus63 Design Co.)

"Design could have been pushed more with the layout! Illustrations complement the topics and tied it quite well. Appreciated the research put into the topics as well especially in the entertainment industry. Would have been nice to see photos as well to serve as a visual cue for the reader."

"Concept - I really liked the topic they used, it tackles both the struggles of the LGBTQ+ community and athletes in general Artwork - The presentation and feel are very close to what newsletters looked like a decade ago, a bit outdated but I can see that it was intentional and I personally enjoyed it.

Composition - Overall they did a great job, but made some critical mistakes when it comes to newsletter composition.

1) Typography is all over the place. Some are stretched, the leading is too small (don't be shy to rework your copy to compress its length if you have limited pages), general spacing between graphics and copy.

2) Colors, red and orange are great background colors for small copy, but tiring for full copy use. White on yellow is hard to read even for people with 20/20 vision and normal color vision.

Goal - As mentioned earlier, I think the concept and topic were great choices and the art direction works really well along with it."

Ian Abella (Art Director - Globe Studios)

"Great message, well written articles but a bit too wordy. Layouts are okay but the palette isn't too eye-catching."

Selina Woo Bhang (Graphic Designer - Plus63 Design Co.)

"Overall design was consistent (saw the pop art inspiration) and appreciated with the general creativity! Wished the thought process was more condensed and easily digestable for the readers more. But I also appreicate the amount of research put into each topic."

Nico Blasco (Senior UI/UX Designer - Multisys Technologies Corporation)

"Concept - Creative choice for the topic, it's often overlooked and people underestimate it's sway to societal behavior

Artwork - The art style fits well with the overall design, but could still use a bit of time and polish, a bit too flat for my taste. Composition - Visually it's a bit too heavy and will benefit a lot from proper use of visual hierarchy. The bulk of the copy were pasted as-is, newsletter copy should include proper line breaks so it's not just a big wall of text that feels daunting and tiring to read. I suggest tinkering with the 'Justify' feature so copy doesn't have lines where there's only 4-5 words in it with huge spaces in between. The serif font used can be replaced with another serif font that's more legible

Goal - Good topic and write up, this will improve a lot once the composition is revised."

Ian Abella (Art Director - Globe Studios)

"Very nice choice of colors/palette, cute! But there's something lacking in the layout since it feels like there's no depth to it. Last few pages seem un-segmented, the paragraphs are cut weird"

Selina Woo Bhang (Graphic Designer - Plus63 Design Co.)

Very editorial style of approach. I also feel like the illustrations shined more with this than the overall cohesiveness so the layout felt more of an afterthought.
